W7 lip cream review

I have been enthusiastic to try w7 ever since summer, when a range of ‘testing w7 makeup videos’ popped up online. W7 are a very affordable, UK brand that are 100% cruelty free. ‘Not tested on animals’ is present on all their packaging and i believe they are in the process of becoming leaping bunny certified.

In the UK, these products are sold at B&M stores and most products cost under £5. My local B&M only stocked blushers, so i got all the products featured in this post from Amazon.

W7 are renowned for their dupes, most notably their glowcomotion £3 highlighter that rivals The Balms’ Mary Loumanizer (I got mine from amazon for a mere £2.47!). Their matte lip creams have also been hailed as dupes of the NYX soft matte lip creams.

While the NYX soft matte lip creams are not too expensive (£5.50 a piece), NYX’s parent company, L’Oreal, is not cruelty free. As a result, these w7 lip creams provide a cheaper and cruelty free alternative to the NYX products.

I have been looking for the perfect nude colour for as long as i can remember, so after Christmas i purchased the nude shade ‘Two Bob’ from w7 on amazon (£1.98). This instantaneously became my favourite lip product and i have worn it pretty much non stop all January! The formula of this product (and the smell) is just as good as the colour, so i was eager to purchase the set of these lip creams.

Unfortunately, the shades available are quite limited. I would love a more vampy, purple shade to be created! However, the shades that are available, ranging from nude to coral to red, are beautifully pigmented, long lasting and dry to a completely transfer proof matte. I got the set of all 5 colours from amazon for £6.70!

Whether lip creams are your thing, or you’re more of a highlighter enthusiast, i would 100% recommend that you check out w7.
